Nicholas “Nick” Anderson serves as the Youth Pastor at First Baptist Church of Spring Valley, where he brings energy, authenticity, and a deep love for students and their families. Growing up in Chula Vista, California, Pastor Nick developed a heart for youth ministry early on and has dedicated himself to helping young people build a strong, lasting relationship with Jesus Christ.

He began his ministry training at Doane Baptist Bible Institute in Iloilo City, Philippines, before returning to the United States to complete his Bachelor’s degree in Theology at West Coast Baptist College in Lancaster, California. His education and ministry experience have shaped his passion for teaching God’s Word and creating environments where students feel safe, valued, and spiritually challenged.

Pastor Nick is committed to fostering a Christ‑centered, welcoming youth ministry where teens can ask honest questions, grow in biblical truth, and experience genuine community. He believes in walking alongside students as they navigate life’s challenges and discover God’s purpose for their lives.

This year, Pastor Nick is intentionally pursuing both personal and professional growth—deepening his daily friendship with Jesus, reading sixty books, finishing a new video game, and even aiming to win a Yu‑Gi‑Oh! tournament, a fun nod to his competitive side and his connection with students.

Outside of ministry, he enjoys a great cup of coffee and is surprisingly skilled at rock‑skipping, a talent that often becomes a fun conversation starter during youth outings.
